A Safe Haven for Exotic Animals
Located in Berlin Center, Ohio, which is nestled between Youngstown and Akron, Noah’s Lost Ark Animal Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to giving exotic animals a second chance at life. Noah’s Lost Ark is one of the few facilities in the country that is both state and federally licensed to house exotic animals and provide educational guided tours to the public.
Rescue, Rehabilitate & Educate
Noah’s Lost Ark Exotic Animal Rescue Center is a no-kill, forever home for exotic animals that have been abused, neglected or abandoned. Many of these animals, which have been living in a captive world, are discarded once they become too large, costly or inconvenient to care for. Sitting off Route 224 on Bedell Road near Berlin Lake Campgrounds, the sanctuary is offering these innocent animals permanent refuge in a safe, loving and natural environment.
Who You’ll Find at the Ark
- Big Cats: Lions, Tigers, Ligers, Cougars, Leopards
- Canines: Wolves, Coyotes, Foxes
- Small Cats
- Bears
- Tortoises
- Primates
- Other Rescued Wildlife
While many of the animals are available for public viewing in their enclosures, some remain off-exhibit due to trauma, health or safety considerations. Each animal has a unique story, and the sanctuary ensures that their dignity, safety and comfort are always valued and protected.
Educational Guided Tours
During the warmer months, Noah’s Lost Ark offers educational guided tours that allow guests to experience the wonder of wildlife up close. These tours are perfect for families, school groups and animal lovers of all ages. These tours also play a crucial role in the sanctuary’s mission: to raise awareness about the growing crisis of exotic animal abuse and abandonment. By educating the public, the sanctuary hopes to inspire a new generation of compassionate caretakers and wildlife advocates.
Support That Saves Lives
Noah’s Lost Ark relies entirely on public support to survive and thrive. The daily costs of feeding, veterinary care and maintaining natural, secure habitats are substantial — and ongoing. You can support the mission by donating, attending fundraisers or simply visiting the sanctuary. All admission fees, as well as proceeds from all gift shop purchases, go directly to helping the animals.
